Before Meghan ever stepped onto a jiu jitsu mat, she had already spent 13 years training in Taekwondo. Martial arts were not new to her, but Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was a completely different world.

One day, she got a coupon for $50 off her first month.

And Meghan loves a good deal. 

So she went to class.

She got her ass kicked.

And she fell in love with it.

What started as a discounted first month turned into a decade-long obsession with the art of grappling, problem-solving, movement, and community. Jiu jitsu challenged her in a way Taekwondo never had. It was humbling, confusing, physical, playful, and endlessly interesting.

That first class eventually led Meghan to her black belt, to teaching, and to building White Lotus Jiu Jitsu.
